November 4th – Diwali Hindu Festival of Lights where families decorate their homes, get dressed up and celebrate the victory of good over evil, light over dark

November 5th – Bonfire Night. Best time to sell cosy beanies and gloves as we all commemorate Guy Fawkes

November 19th – International Men’s Day. Less known than the Women’s version but useful for male-focused brands

November 25th – Thanksgiving Mainly US-based where retailers reward their customers for their loyalty

November 26th – Black Friday The day with no rules in retail – crazy prices and deals abound

November 27th – Small Business Saturday A lovely celebration day encouraging people to shop small and support local businesses.

November 29th – Cyber Monday The biggest online shopping day – often with the best deals of the year.

December 26th – Boxing Day – the day the sales begin although often they start on the 25th now
